Phase 1The teacher gives everybody a printed piece of paper with parts of the text of the narrative ‘Marmalade’. Pieces are according to number of pupils in the class. Every piece of paper is numbered from 1 to 20 for instance, if pupils are 20. (If they are 28 pieces are 28). That way every pupil has 2-3 sentences of the narrative maximum. The teacher explains the rule of the game. The class will put aside the desks and will arrange the chairs in a circle in the middle of the room. Pupils will sit in a circle according to the numbers of their papers. They will read the text. At the end they will make a common photo (as this is part of the story of the narrative). The pupils put aside the desks and make a circle with chairs. Everybody sits clockwise according to the number on their pieces of small texts The teacher sits inside the circle too, next to nr. 1. |

Phase 2Everybody reads loud the text from the their pieces of paper in sequence. When they read they should stand up. The one who reads wears a hat which he/she passes on when next pupil should start reading. |
Phase 3After the whole story is read for the first time, pupils change their pieces of paper and their places – this time contrariwise the clock, and read the text again. This can repeat 3 or 4 times – changing pieces of paper and places – if teacher decides there is time, which depends on the lever of reading of the pupils. |

Phase 4At the end all pupils make two group photos in a suitable place in the classroom, saying the two important words from the narrative story which the main character – the frog – is messing up. Pupils pretend they are the little frog from the narrative. First photo is said during pupils saying the word ‘confiture’. This is supposed to be the ‘serious’ photo. The second one is taken when pupils say ‘marmalade’ which is supposed to be the ‘funny’ photo.Hopefully the teacher can upload the photos on the school website.Pupils help the teacher to put the classroom back to the normal order. |
