Phase 1

Teacher comes to class, starts talking. He never stops talking, talking, talking… Then he stops and asks the students.

Dialogue:

–        Teacher: Was my conversation clear enough?

–        Students: No!

Phase 2

The teacher distributes the written text of the speech (without punctuation marks) to the created groups. As students examine the text, the teacher puts the cartons on the board, which contain the punctuation marks (prepared earlier). The teacher asks the students to complete the text in their hand with the appropriate punctuation marks hanging on the board. Groups read punctuation marks of the text they complete, correcting their mistakes.

Phase 3

Students draw punctuation marks with paint crayons on cardboards (drawn on a card as a punctuation mark). A different student in the group hangs the punctuation marks from each of the cardboards using their rope. Each group writes five to six sentences of text, without punctuation. A student from the group reads the sentences in the text they write and waits for the other group to complete the sentence with appropriate punctuation.

The student who is hanging in the neck of the punctuation mark (one of the students in the other groups) which will be used in the sentence that was read comes running and completes the sentence. The entire text is done in this way. Text with missing punctuation marks of all groups is completed in the same order.

Phase 4

The teacher has an opportunity among the actions to teach the correct use of punctuation marks.
