Layout of the classroom

Ten desks are needed. The others should be put aside. The teacher places the coloured sheets around the classroom during the break before the lesson. The coloured sheets should be easy visible for the pupils.

Phase 1

The teacher asks each pupil to pull out   a small sheet from the box. Each child finds his/her mate in colour. They form a team of two.

The teacher explains the rules of the game.

Each team should write down two sentences.

Each team has a Seeker and a Writer. The Seeker has to find his/her coloured sheet with written sentence and has to dictate it to the Writer. The Writer has to write down the sentence.

The pupils decide who to be the Seeker and who to be the Writer. They have to change their titles after the first sentence.

The Seekers have to search for the sheets which are the same colour as their own team. / For example: The red team looks for the red sheets/.

The written sentences are numbered. /For example: The red team – sentences number 1 and 2; The blue team – sentences number 3 and 4; The green team – sentences number 5 and 6, etc./

Phase 2

The teacher starts the game by whistling.

The Seeker of each team has to look for his/her coloured sheet with written sentence. When the Seeker finds it he/she goes to his/her Writer. The Seeker dictates the sentence. His/her   Writer writes it down on the white sheet with narrow and wide rows.

The pupils change their titles – The Seeker becomes a Writer, and the Writer becomes a Seeker.

The teammates check their dictations. The teacher does it too.

The winner is the team, which has written its sentences fast and correct.

Phase 3

The teacher ends the game by whistling when the all teams are ready.

Each team has to read his sentences. The pupil with sentence number 20 starts reading, then the pupil with number 19 and so until the last one.

If the pupils have written down their sentences correctly, they will create an Interesting text.

Phase 4

The pupils arrange the text on the cardboard, place it under the pictures and create a poster.

They also have to think about a title for the poster.

The teacher puts the poster on the   class board.

The pupils help the teacher to put the classroom back to its normal order.
