The classroom should be empty. All desks and chairs are put aside.

Phase 1

The pupils are divided into two equal teams during the break before the lesson. They wear blue and yellow T-shirts.

The teacher explains the rules of the game. He/she asks the pupils:

“Do you know the Minions language?”

/ Banana language /

The teacher tells the pupils that in order to be able to play this game, they will have to learn two new words from the Minions language: true – banana yeiii and false – banana oi oi oi.

The teacher asks the pupils to repeat the words.

He/she says that the game has two rounds.

The teacher presented the captains of the two teams: Stewart Minion and Bob Minion. The teacher shows them on the screen.

 Phase 2

First round

The two teams stand in a column one behind the other in the middle of the room on the blue-yellow paper tape. The players from both teams must take turns to play. In front of them, Bob Minion will give Stewart’s team a maths problem on the screen. Stuart Mignon, in turn, will give Bob’s team a maths problem on the screen. / Task slides are changed by the teacher /.

If the teacher works with an interactive board, he/she can write the maths problems on it.

The teacher explains that each student should look at the maths problem on the screen and decide if it has been done correctly / For example: 30 + 60 = 90 /

The pupil must clap his/her hands and cry out enthusiastically – “banana yeiii, if the answer is correct.

The pupil must clap his/her hands and cry out enthusiastically – “banana oi oi oi”, if the maths problem is incorrect.

Then the pupil says the right answer and goes to the end of the column.

The team with more correct answers wins the first round.

Phase 3

Second round

The pupils are standing in a column on the yellow side of the bland. The teacher says the maths problem aloud /for example: 100 – 20 = 30 /.

The pupils must stay on the yellow side of the paper tape if the maths problem is correct.

The pupils must jump with both feet on the blue side of the paper tape if the math problem is incorrect.

The pupil who has made a mistake should take his/her seat. The game finishes when the tasks provided by the teacher are completed. The team with more players on the bland wins the round

Phase 4

The teacher announces the results and the winner.

The pupils help the teacher to put the classroom back to its normal order.
