1st Phase

The children divide into three groups: “The spoons”, “the forks” and “the knifes”.
Three strings are tied, from one end of the class to the other, in 3 parallel lines. Each team has its own so there should be some space between them.               Along the string will be hanged like a bunch of grapes, the totals of spoons (or forks, or knifes) according to the goals of the teacher.

We follow the stages of the text-book.

2nd Phase

Question:
1. How many spoons do we have to hang, to create the number 32.

Answer:32

2. How many spoons do we have to hang, to create 2 bunches of spoons that again in total will be 32?

Answer: The children create 2 bunches by 16 spoons, stick them with paper-ape and hang them on their string.

3. How many spoons do we have to hang on our string, to create 4 bunches of spoons that again in total will be 32.

Answer: the children create 4 bunches by 8 spoons, stick them together with paper-tape and hang them at their string.

The same action takes place with the team of the forks and the team of  knifes with different numbers, up to 100.

The Teacher gives out combinations of spoons, forks and knifes and the students create their vines accordingly.
