Layout of the classroom

Phase 1The teacher introduces the topic giving evidence to the fact that everything around us changes (for example a seed becomes a plant and then a tree). She/he pays then attention to the language and past/present/future tenses. |

Phase 2The teacher and the children find out places in the city that have changed through time.The children are divided into 3 groups: past, present, future.At home each group has to look for images of those places according to the time represented by the group (for example the past group has to find images of the church in the past, the future group will imagine how the church will look like in the future). |

Phase 3In class each group presents the found images.The children are divided again into groups on the basis of the place they have worked on. They will then invent a story about it using past, present and future tenses. |

Phase 4When everyone is done, all the stories are told to the class.The teacher pays attention to the use of tenses. |
