Phase 1The teacher begins a preamble about the people who live in the village and in the city. He/she asks student to find differences between the lifestyle of these people. With teacher’s help, they find that people who live at village, abide in detached houses, while people at cities, abide in apartments blocks. People at village deal in agriculture, animal husbandry, fishing, have no cinemas, theatres and generally, entertainment is limited. They don’t have access in hospitals and medical services and they have troubles in transit and marine transports. They have better relationships and strong bonds as people in village interact with others.On the other side, life in city is totally different. People have many problems to solve: lack of free spaces, air pollution, loneliness. |

Phase 2In this phase, teacher suggest to the student to divided into two groups. The group that live in the city and the group that live in the village. Each student of the group, will give a monologue, describing the advantages or disadvantages of his/her place. For example:-I am a farmer. I live in a village. I love my place because I feel free, I live in a house with a big yard and I smell the fresh air. I have many friends which they help me to deal with my difficultiesOrI live in Athens. I feel so lonely. I live in an apartment and I don’t know anyone. In my free time, I watch t.v .and I play video games.OrI hate the traffic jam but I love my city. It has a lot of museums, theaters and festivities. I never feel boring.Teacher’s bell rings, cd goes on and act begins. |

Phase 3In this phase, teacher suggests to close their eyes and imagine that they are somewhere in the village or in the city. . They should say, what they hear, who they meet, what they see and how they feel. The other should guess if they are in the city or in the village. For example:I am hearing the bird’s songs and roosters crow. I can see high trees, green gardens and open spaces. I am hearing the talks of the people in the neighborhood and the children’s laughs. I meet a farmer, a beekeeper and they smile to me/orI am hearing the traffic’s noises and car’s braking. I am smelling the exhaust from the cars and chimneys . I can see many cars, shops, buses, taxies , hurried people . I feel so lonely.OrI had an accident. It’s very difficult to find a doctor. What can I do;Teacher’s bell rings and the act begins. |

Phase 4Students return to their desks and the teacher presents the course with the known traditional form. The students through that act, have totally understand the different lifestyle, and the advantages and disadvantages the people who live in the country and city have, which is the goal of this lesson. |
