Layout of the classroomThe classroom is organized in a way that 2 desks are put next to each other so 5-6 pupils can sit around. Pairs of several 2 desks are needed according to numbers of pupils in the class. |

Phase 1The teacher explains the rules of the game. The class is divided into groups of 5-6 pupils. Every group gets a picture. Every groups should write a story based on the picture. They should create the story together. Each of the pupils writes one sentence at a time and passes on the sheet to another one. This is the way they will build a common story alltogether. All the time pupils should check the list with instructions in order not to miss a point. |

Phase 2The classroom is organized in 5-6 groups of 2 desks and 5-6 chairs around.The teacher divides the class by lottery – everyone takes a number of his/her group from the hat. Every group sits around one of the desks.The teachers give each group a picture, list with instructions and a big empty sheet. Every group thinks out a name of the groups by their choice (e.g. ‘Friends’, ‘Citizens’, ‘Cool onces’ etc) |

Phase 3The group first discussed the picture, thinks out a name of the story and starts writing. Everyone writes one sentence at a time and passes on the sheet further. |

Phase 4At the end each group reads its story, announcing the name of the team and the name of the story. Alltogether the pupils decide which team has the most interesting story.Instructions Example– What is there on the picture?– What should be the name of the story?– Who are the characters?– Are you going to include other characters?– Which names are you going to put on characters?– Where the situation on the picture is situated?– When the situation on the picture takes place?– What did happen before?– What will happen after?And so on. |
